I’m an aspiring conceptual photographer exploring the themes of Wa Modern and cultural fusion.
Wa Modern reflects a quiet harmony between traditional Japanese aesthetics and contemporary design.
My work draws upon the ideals of Zen Minimalism, embracing philosophies such as wabi-sabi - finding the beauty within imperfection - and the presence found in ma, the meaningful space between. These concepts bring a sense of quiet strength and balance to the visual work that I do.
I explore these sensibilities within the natural and urban landscapes of Australia. Through portrait, architectural, commercial, and editorial photography I hope to express this fusion of sensibility evoking presence and balance between tradition and modernity.
